About Me

As you can see, he has the JOSH in his name. Coming from a modest background, Atul Joshi had to start working and support his family along with his father at a very young age. First, he did odd jobs, assisted some photographers, completed his education, and joined The Times of India in 1986.
He faced various challenges in his youth, but his JOSH has never worn out. He has overcome every challenge, strived to keep him updated with the latest photography techniques, and carried out daily showmanship.
His struggles in his career gave him the insight to help needy people, mostly students, helping them focus on their education. Atul Joshi also encourages and supports upcoming artists in their ventures.
Let’s read about what Atul wants to tell us about his latest venture of showcasing his lifetime work on this website.

My Work Speaks of Kashmir!

“MY WORK SPEAKS OF KASHMIR!” Says Atul Joshi, reminiscing over the years of my life, I recall the first time I visited Kashmir, in the year 2004 to attend my very first Amarnath Yatra. As I reached there, the devotee within me got enchanted by the heavenly beauty of nature, rich heritage of Kashmiri culture, serene landscapes, which evoked my photographic skills.
That day onwards I focused my attention on Kashmir and whenever I got time with my busy work schedule, I visited Kashmir. From the year 2004, every year I attended Amarnath Yatra and spent those days exploring the magical beauty of Kashmir. As a result, today my work speaks of Kashmir.
The purpose of this website is to advocate my love for Kashmir and to showcase my creative photography encompassing various aspects of life in Kashmir.
Just like me, my website is adventurous, open-minded, and creative. Feel free to navigate through my work that speaks of Kashmir. You may participate and suggest your views. You can join me in patronizing Kashmir with your activities as a joint venture.
Recently, a Calligraphy Competition was organized by NGO Sha’ma. The Chairperson of Sha’ma Ms. Bisma Ayoub had made all the necessary arrangements for the event, invited participants, and with her hard work made the event quite successful and memorable. After the success of this event, Ms. Bisma Ayoub organized a Mehendi Competition, which too received an overwhelming response because of her hard work.
My love about Kashmir is not just limited to photos I click on. I have also penned a few lines about Kashmir, which are now the lyrics of an enchanting music video showing the rejuvenating Kashmir of today.
Kashmir is continuously transforming for the better, it is prospering and bringing happiness to people’s lives. I am busy capturing these happy moments of peace and tranquillity being reflected in nature. You can see glimpses of my work in the photo galleries.
